I remember being asked the question about 3 years ago in one of my SES sessions about whether you could put links within your body text but not underline them, and quite frankly, I didn’t know how to answer it. The guy said that was pretty much the idea, obuwie would the search engines mind? All I could say was that I doubt they’d catch it and if they did, I really wasn’t sure if they would mind or not.. I said that it would certainly be bad for usability as people wouldn’t know the link was there.
